Vaccine Crisis Update

While driving back from a seaside vacation, I listened to a fascinating BBC report on the Vaccine Crisis. The Wellcome Trust had released survey results of 140,000 people in 140 countries regarding their perception of the safety and efficacy of vaccinations. Overall, only 84% of respondents thought vaccines were effective and 7% thought they were unsafe. However, there was enormous variability from country to country. In France, one in three people thought vaccines were unsafe, the highest percentage of any country surveyed. This finding is particularly ironic given the groundbreaking contributions to the development of vaccination by France's own Louis Pasteur! For my take on vaccination, please listen to this short program on ReachMD. Your comments are much appreciated!
