The topic of malpractice is so important that I devote two chapters to it in my book, The Locum Life: A Physician's Guide to Locum Tenens:

Chapter 11: Malpractice-Avoiding Litigation and Chapter 12: Malpractice Insurance-Tail or No Tail? These chapters define malpractice and discuss effective strategies to avoid malpractice suits.

A brief video summarizing Chapter 11 can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rzg4HOggBLI&feature=youtu.be. Yesterday, I completed the video for Chapter 12 where I discuss the different types of malpractice insurance, as well as the need for a tail and umbrella. For a 5-minute review of Chapter 12, please check out this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyNFp7qhz2Q&t=54s
