Here's a story in UrologyTimes written by a successful private practice urologist who adds to his work by doing locum tenens in a rural area. He states it takes him away from the daily grind, he gets to focus on patient care (no administrative duties), the compensation is high, and he is greatly appreciated by the patients, who otherwise would have to travel 2 hours to see someone in his specialty. Win-Win for everyone!
