Oren Miron, a research associate at Harvard University, was kind enough to chat with me on Medscape about his recent JAMA publication,"Suicide rates among U.S. adolescents, young adults continue to increase."I've spoken with Oren before and he's doing great work as a young researcher.


This study is an epidemiologic observation based on data from the CDC. It turns out that the USA has the best data of this sort in all the world. (People who think all government agencies are useless should take note!) The next step is to identify causation and remedies to prevent our youth from dying at such an alarming rate.
