Wisdom on the Camino: A Spiritual Journey

Many thanks to Kathleen Donnelly Israel for joining me on today’s program. Kathleen served as the caregiver for her husband Ron, who endured 17 years of Parkinson’s disease. She shares her experiences with the medical system, nontraditional medicine, and efforts as a caregiver coping with her husband’s relentless physical decline.

You can watch our 30-minute interview here:

Although Ron had always been physically active and a triathlete, he “embraced his disease” while she desperately tried to cure it. After her husband’s death, Kathleen walked the 500 miles of the Camino trail, which gave her time to reflect on her experience and inspiration to move forward with her life. She relates her journey in her new book, “Wisdom on the Camino: A Spiritual Journey Sharing Forgiveness and Possibilities to Inspire the Rest of Your Life.”
