Introduction
In February 2020, I launched “The Art of Medicine with Dr. Andrew Wilner.” This podcast “explores the arts, business, and clinical aspects of the practice of medicine.” Each guest has experience and insight that makes for exciting and entertaining discussions. I’m honored that Feedspot.com included “The Art of Medicine” as one of the “top 20 physician podcasts” of 2020 and 2021. New episodes appear every two weeks.
History
Nearly ten years ago, I struggled to master video editing with iMovie and later Final Cut Pro to create short films for my natural history channel, “Underwater with Dr. Andrew.” This program features over 60 videos, mostly undersea creatures. A few videos have been viewed thousands of times. The site continues to grow. As I’ve learned more advanced editing techniques, the videos have become more sophisticated and entertaining (I hope!)
“The Art of Medicine” evolved out of a series of 20 videos for my latest book, “The Locum Life: A Physician’s Guide to Locum Tenens.” Several “Art of Medicine” guests have shared information about locums. These have included recruiters, financial advisors, and locums physicians. The “Art of Medicine’s” broad scope has also allowed me to indulge in discussions about spiritual health with Rabbis, fiction writing with physician authors, cybersecurity, real estate, nonclinical careers, brain death, other timely topics.
Thank you!
I want to take advantage of this first anniversary to thank all of the guests who have appeared on the first 27 episodes of “The Art of Medicine.” The most recent interviews appear at the top. My website contains a video archive: http://www.andrewwilner.com/videos
