Dr. Shen, a family practice physician, was lucky enough to learn about locum tenens while he was still a resident. It helped him explore career options and achieve work-life balance. Dr. Shen finds that the multiple job options provided by locums paradoxically provides job stability rather than instability. He plans on staying a locums doc indefinitely.
