If you are considering a nonclinical or nontraditional medical career, please join me and 30 other physician presenters at the upcoming online Physicians Helping Physicians 2020 Next Conference. This event is the second in a series of 3 virtual conferences that explores opportunities for physicians in nonclinical and nontraditional medical careers. Many of these options may be pursued either in conjunction with traditional employment or full-time such as medical writing, IT, utilization review, locum tenens, and venture capital. We will also discuss alternative career alternatives in Biotech, Pharma, and others. On Saturday, September 5, 2020, I will speak about locum tenens and how this nontraditional path has helped me achieve my professional, personal, and financial goals over the last 38 years. I’ve already prepared my slides, and I guarantee it will be an engaging talk that supplements the information in my book, “The Locum Life: A Physician’s Guide to Locum Tenens.” Other presenters include my friends John Jurica, MD, and Heidi Moawad, MD, who have successfully pursued nonclinical careers. There will be the opportunity to ask questions and also dedicated networking time between lectures. A third NEXT conference will follow in November. The conference organizer, Michelle Mudge-Riley, MD, is offering a special promotion. To attend both the September and November conferences for the price of one, please sign up through the link on my website (www.andrewwilner.com) and use coupon code BOGO4U2020 before the offer expires on Sunday, August 30, 2020. I hope to see you at the NEXT conferences!
