Dr. Andrew Wilner interviews Dr. Jennifer Robblee for Medscape about the new definitions adopted by the American Headache Society at the recent annual meeting. Dr. Robblee is a headache specialist at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. We discussed terms such as refractory, intractable, and uncontrolled. The committee chose resistant and refractory to describe difficult to treat migraine patients. Dr. Robblee also addressed when physicians should respond patients to a headache specialist.
