Many thanks to "The Locum Society" for featuring my article, "How Locums Helped My Medical Career." An opportunity to work locum tenens in 1982 drastically changed the course of my medical career. If I hadn't gone off the beaten path to work in the emergency room at Bellwood General Hospital, Bellflower, CA, I doubt I would be where I am today! You can read the story here.

The Locum Society provides information and guidance to physicians interested in pursuing locum tenens. The site offers a "concierge service" to help physicians find appropriate assignments. If you are a physician considering locum tenens work, check them out. And don't forget to take a look at my book, The Locum Life: A Physician's Guide to Locum Tenens, available here on my website as well as Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
