Many thanks to Gregory Hammer, MD, a recently-retired pediatric anesthesiologist, professor at Stanford University, and author of the new book, "Gain Without Pain: The Happiness Handbook for Healthcare Professional."

In his book, Dr. Hammer addresses the spiritual, mental, and physical dimensions of wellness. He advises that burnout can be avoided by harnessing the benefits of mental and spiritual engagement as well as the tripod of sleep, exercise, and nutrition. He offers more valuable tips for happiness during our 25-minute interview. You can reach Gregory Hammer through his website: https://greghammermd.com/
