I had the pleasure of interviewing Neil Skolnik, MD, on ReachMD's Clinician Roundtable series. Dr. Skolnick, Professor of Family and Community Medicine at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, discussed advances in COPD treatment and reviewed the updated Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) treatment guidelines. It was exciting to learn that treatment advances can significantly decrease mortality in COPD patients!
