I had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Craig Chepke, Excel Psychiatric Associates, about the current treatment of schizophrenia on ReachMD.com. Dr. Chepke outlines the medical approach to treatment along with its attendant side effects, as well as the daunting problem of poor adherence in this patient population. He also discusses the future and possible advances in therapy.
