Chinese Journal Addresses physician privacy

Dr. Ronald Pies, a psychiatrist, and I recently collaborated on a Medscape article regarding an incident where a patient's family member took my photo in the ER without permission with the intention of posting it on Instagram. Dr. Pies and I discussed the medical and ethical implications of such surreptitious photos in the age of social media. Readers responded to the article with many comments. In addition, our report was recently used as the foundation for a publication on the China Network Medical Channel (with suboptimal but interesting translation!). It seems that the issue of physician privacy knows no bounds.
