Stephen Schuele, MD, is an epileptologist and Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine at Northwestern Medicine. Dr. Schuele recently published an article in JAMA Neurology describing the 5-SENSE score, which assists physicians in their decision whether to implant invasive electrodes in the search for a resectable epilepsy focus. Dr. Schuele also discusses ongoing epilepsy clinical trials and laser ablation surgical therapy.
